Biography

Amol K Patil (IN, 1987) is a performance and visual artist. His body of work is based on the hierarchical Indian caste system. He focuses on social inequality within this system, particularly on the Dalits, the casteless people who belong to the lowest social classes.

He conveys the harsh conditions they endure through his work, comprising sculptures, drawings, and videos. He emphasises the invisible place they occupy in the city, with hands and feet symbolising the labour they perform
