Frank Ammerlaan in exhibition 'De Scheffer' at Dordrechts Museum

From 31 October 2017 until 18 April 2018, the Dordrechts Museum presents De Scheffer 2017. This year, the exhibition not only consists of a solo exhibition of works by the winner of the 2017 award Raquel van Haver, but is combined with a group exhibition that presents a survey of works by previous winners of the award including Frank Ammerlaan, who was awarded De Scheffer 2013

De Scheffer is awarded annually by the Vereniging Dordrechts Museum, and consists of the acquisition of a work for the permanent collections of the museum and a solo exhibition. On the occassion of the 175th anniversary of the Vereniging Dordrechts Museum and the Dordrechts Museum itself, De Scheffer 2017 is accompanied by an overview of both old and new work by previous winners of the prize. With this exhibition, Kim van Norren, Joost Krijnen, Frank Ammerlaan, Elspeth Diederix and Charlotte Dumas show the importance of stimulus prices like De Scheffer.
