Joseph Thabang Palframan in group show at De Brakke Grond

Joseph Thabang Palframan is part of group show Wayward Sanctuaries at Vlaams Cultuurhuis De Brakke Grond (in Amsterdam), which opens tomorrow.

Wayward Sanctuaries is a group exhibition in which artists explore new ways of creating a sense of home. In a world full of change and uncertainty, they use art, rituals, and spirituality to build their own spaces of connection, resistance, and hope. The exhibition invites you to reflect on community, memory, and the power of imagining new worlds together.

From Joseph Thabang Palframan, ‘Limenomyces Apertus’ will be on display.

Limenomyces Apertus is a collaborative artwork by Aya Koné and Palframan that takes its form from the institution it inhabits, and is grown from stacked fungal farm waste (mycelium).

A new ‘ Amsterdam specific’ version of the work will be on display at De Brakke Grond.

Along the walls of this ‘travelling ruin’ are street postings and paintings connecting the structure with the cities public space.
