Alicia Framis Hybrid Couple video at Big Dada exhibition at Arti et Amicitiae

Alicia Framis is part of group exhibition 'Big Dada' at Arti et Amicitiae, which runs until 22 November!

As part of the Big DaDa manifestation – where absurdism, technology and language collide in disruptive ways is Framis' work Hybrid Couple (2024).

Framis is the first woman to marry a hologram, thereby literally embodying the symbiosis between human and machine. Here, the banality of the everyday is transcended by transforming traditional marriage into an ironic performance, provoking both estrangement and reflection. In this way, the artist hopes to alleviate loneliness among people. Public participation is an important element of Framis’ artistic projects. It opens up new possibilities for society. Her work has been included and presented in numerous museums and biennials.
