Jan Robert Leegte in group exhibition at Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede

Jan Robert Leegte's installation Performing a Landscape (2020) will be on view in the exhibition Nowhere but Nature at Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede. The exhibition opens during GOGBOT Festival.

How do we stay grounded amidst it all? Are we doomscrolling our way towards an uncertain future, or do we retreat from a threatening reality in search of a world that feels safer and more humane?

 

GOGBOT and Rijksmuseum Twenthe explore these contrasting experiences of nature: as a place of refuge and as a source of threat. As a healing space that offers comfort, and as an uncontrollable force that makes us feel small and insignificant.

The artists featured in this exhibition are Eady van Acker, melanie bonajo, Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács, Jurre Latour, Jan Robert Leegte, Sputniko!, Charles Stankievech, and Mark IJzerman.
