Marc Bijl at the Mediations Biennale, Poznan
Marc Bijl is selected for the fourth Mediations Biennale in Poznań, Poland. His work will be exhibited at the main event of the biennale, the Berlin Heist exposition, curated by Shaheen Merali at the Poznań National Museum and in the Raczyński Library. About the exhibition:
"Berlin Heist will constitute a collection of pieces from Berlin or on Berlin. It is a city where a lot of art is being gathered, and then assessed and formalized, later making its way to other parts of the world. The era of globalism should strengthen Europe’s drive toward emphasizing its identity, thus, Berlin supports its artists and their creations. German capital city is a place attractive for the young due to the fact that it is still not completely defined. It is a symbol of liberation and freedom, offering an array of opportunities".
The Mediations Biennale will take place from September 21st until October 26th. You can also find Marc's work at the exhibition Hausbesetzung at the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden from September 13th until December 14th.
