Art Basel | Zero 10

Upstream Gallery (Amsterdam) and Office Impart (Berlin) are pleased to announce a joint solo presentation of work by pioneering internet artist Jan Robert Leegte at Art Basel | Zero 10 (Basel, 18–21 June 2026).

Zero 10, Art Basel’s global initiative dedicated to art of the digital era, brings together leading and next-generation artists, galleries, and interdisciplinary practices exploring the relationship between art, technology, and culture. Curated by Eli Schein and Trevor Paglen under the anchor theme The Condition, Zero 10 marks the initiative’s first co-curated edition and largest presentation to date.

Leegte has worked with the internet as an artistic medium since 1997, making art not about what digital systems display, but about the systems themselves. The presentation in Basel brings together three bodies of work united by an investigation into compression. It premieres Sightings, a new body of work existing as physical prints and an online generative collection Orbits, alongside the artist's internationally acclaimed JPEG series.
