In 2019, Constant Dullaart transformed Upstream Gallery into a commercially viable co-working space: dull.lifeTM. It’s slogan: hack, hustle, historicize. On the website hackhustlehistoricize.com you can fill up the walls of a virtual space with a poem, like Dullaart also did in the spaces of dull.life. The poem consists of 60 lines of “motivational quotes”, symbolizing the creative industry that in the neoliberal era is trained to be as efficient and innovative as possible.
