Nieck de Bruijn in panel talk at Art Rotterdam about the impact of digital technology

During the coming edition of Art Rotterdam, on Thursday 1 February from 17:00 to 18:30, four experts in the fields of architecture, fashion, art, and design will delve into the impact of digital technology on society at large, as well as its specific influence within each expert's domain.

Nieck de Bruijn, together with Aric Chen, the director of Het Nieuwe Instituut, Margreeth Olsthoorn, the founder and owner of the multi-label fashion store Margreet Oolsthoorn and Audrey Large, an interdisciplinary designer employing both analogue and digital methods, will share their insights during a panel discussion moderated by art expert Manuela Klerkx.

The discussion is prompted by the ongoing exhibition Reboot: Pioneering Digital Art, currently on view at Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam. The exhibition showcases the impact of digital technology on both art and society through a selection of groundbreaking works by over 20 artists. Key themes explored in the exhibition include identity and beauty in a digital world, the influence of major tech companies, and the convergence of human and machine.
