Upstream gallery will present Frank Ammerlaan and Marc Bijl in Berlin at the art fair ABC.
From the 18th until the 21st of September, (coinciding with Berlin Art Week) Art Berlin Contemporary will take place at Station-Berlin. Upstream Gallery will participate in this fair with a presentation by Frank Ammerlaan and Marc Bijl. Both artists created new sculptures for the exhibition.
ABC is somewhat different from other art fairs: with its innovative, artist-centered format, abc art berlin contemporary is consciously focused on artistic practice. Each invited gallery is specifically asked to realize a single position of contemporary art. Rather than presenting their particular programs, the galleries present themselves in their capacities as producers of selected artists. ABC is led for the second time this year by Maike Cruse as artistic director. In this seventh editon, abc welcomes galleries from across the world to Berlin presenting international projects.
